Delete your account
Last updated 13 September 2026
You can delete your Dktorakam account, and the personal and health information stored with it, at any time. This page explains how to ask — inside the app, or by writing to us if you no longer have it installed — exactly what is deleted, and the few records we have to keep afterwards.
1. Delete your account from the app
This is the fastest route, and it takes effect immediately.
- Open the Dktorakam app and sign in.
- Go to Profile → Edit profile.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Confirm. You will be asked for your password; if you sign in with Google or Apple, confirming is enough.
The account and its data are removed as soon as you confirm, every device is signed out, and it cannot be undone.
2. If you no longer have the app
You do not need to reinstall anything. Email support@dktorakam.app with the subject "Delete my account" and tell us:
- the phone number or email address the account is registered to;
- the full name on the account.
Because this is health data, we verify who is asking before we delete anything: we send a one-time code to the phone number or email address on the account, and you send it back to us. We will never ask you for your password, and we do not act on a deletion request from someone who cannot show the account is theirs.
Once verified, we delete the account within 30 days and confirm it to you. You can also reach us through the contact page at dktorakam.app/contact.
3. Before you delete
- Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore an account or its records afterwards, and creating a new account brings nothing back.
- Save what you need first. Prescriptions, lab results, consultation summaries and documents you uploaded can be downloaded or shared from the app for as long as your account is open.
- Deal with upcoming appointments. Bookings are cancelled along with the account, and a consultation you have already paid for is not refunded automatically.
- Empty your wallet. Any remaining balance is lost when the account goes. Request a refund and wait for it to be settled before you delete.
4. What is deleted
All of this is erased from our live systems when the account is deleted:
- Your profile — name, phone number, email address, password, date of birth, gender, city and profile photo.
- Your health record — medical history, allergies, chronic conditions, medications, vaccinations, vitals, cycle and pregnancy entries, children's growth measurements, symptoms you recorded, and every document or lab result you uploaded.
- Your consultations — bookings, messages with doctors, consultation summaries, and the prescriptions and lab requests issued to you.
- Family profiles you created and manage, together with the health records in them.
- Money held in your account — wallet balance, transaction history and refund requests.
- Reminders and tools — medication and appointment reminders, tracked wellness data, and saved items.
- What you posted — doctor reviews, public questions, support-group posts and comments, and your messages to our support team.
- Devices and sessions — notification tokens, saved sign-ins, and any share links you created, which stop working immediately.
5. What we keep, and for how long
A small amount of information survives the deletion — either because the law requires it, or because it no longer identifies you:
- Records the law requires us to keep. Medical record-keeping rules oblige a doctor or clinic to retain a record of the care they provided — in practice up to 10 years after the last consultation — and tax and accounting law obliges us to keep invoices and payment records for up to 7 years. Where a record falls under one of those rules we keep that record only, in restricted storage that no one may open except where the law allows, and delete it when the period ends. A deletion request cannot shorten a period the law sets.
- Backups — deleted data remains in our encrypted backups until they rotate out, within 30 days.
- Security and fraud-prevention logs — a limited technical record (IP address, device, timestamps, and any abuse or payment fraud we acted on), kept for up to 12 months, so deleting an account cannot be used to erase evidence of abuse.
- Anonymous statistics — counts and aggregates that no longer contain your name or any identifier. These are kept indefinitely and cannot be traced back to you.
- Feedback you sent us — kept with your identity removed.
6. What we cannot recall
- A document you shared through a link, once someone has opened or downloaded it. The link stops working, but their copy is theirs.
- A prescription or lab request already handed to a pharmacy or laboratory — their copy is their own record, kept under their own rules.
- The clinical record a doctor keeps of a consultation they gave you, which is theirs and subject to their record-keeping obligations.
- Purchases recorded by Apple or Google, which are held by the store and not by us.
7. Doctors and clinic staff
If you use Dktorakam as a doctor or a secretary, deleting your account removes your sign-in and your personal profile. The consultations you delivered stay in your patients' records, with your name on them, because those are your patients' medical records and not yours to delete. Contact us before you delete so any outstanding earnings can be settled first.
8. Deleting one thing instead of everything
You do not have to delete the whole account to remove one thing. In the app you can delete an individual family profile, a document, a health entry or a review on its own, and revoke any share link, while keeping your account. Write to us if you want a particular category of data removed rather than the account itself.
9. Questions
Write to support@dktorakam.app or use the contact page at dktorakam.app/contact. What we collect and why is set out in our Privacy Policy.
